Never sit still in a December Chill
Traveling Extrodinare at your service.
I am going to need a vacation from this winter break. The first weekend of December I spent sick. Achy, whiny, feverish sick. It's from hanging out with kindergarteners and the multitude of unwashed hands they carry in every pocket. I think they must carry extras around that are covered in peanut butter and glue because everytime they wash them they come back even stickier. And then, they come over ready to hug and be hugged and then cough in your face as soon as you get down on their level. Kids can be really disgusting. (Of course, I was always neat and clean....right...if mud is clean...)
So, the next weekend I spent studying for finals. And after studying for finals went on a date with my boyfriend. Well, we watched the same movie together, at the same time, on the phone. It went fairly well. Only a few phone interruptions, but that's to be expected.
Then this weekend I went to Louisianna for my grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary. It went well. I was worried. Imagine a huge, planned family reunion. Add on top of that, it being a VERY special occasion. Imagine that 4 groups of people are in charge of planning for it and 3 groups are in charge for paying for it. I was VERY thankful it went well. And it did go well. In fact, I got to re-meet several cousins...well, second and third cousins. Oh, and one cousin I hadn't met before. So, it was good. Lots of food. Lots of food got sent home with each of us. It's now sitting in each of our freezers longing to be eaten. Along with some very nice chocolate cake. Mmmm...chocolate cake. Unfortunately, it knows my name. It calls out to me. So does the bag of chocolate candies...Hmm...I'm seeing a pattern here. Must stop teaching the chocolate my name. It's very needy. It likes me to be around it a lot.
Anyways. Tomorrow I leave to go wander around NYC. And to go to L4T. I cannot wait to see everyone! The Canadians will be there. I love Canadians. I spoke to one today on the phone. She's in Texas and hopefully, we can get together some time before she leaves. Just finished IMing a non-official Canadian. I'm in the mood for Canadians. Canadians are cool! Oh, and this snow stuff that I'm going to be facing. Yeah, that's scary. I'll have to bring my....well, who knows what. I have summer clothes, but winter ones...right, like I'd need them here.
Then for the final weekend in Decmeber, I am heading out to KC. With who? I donno. There should be a pile of us in my car without anywhere to stay. But that does make it more interesting. Maybe we can camp out at the church....Somehow, I don't think they'll let us do that. Oh well. Anyways, I've got to run go Wallyworlding for last minute items. L8rz!
