August has set in
I passed my classes!!! One A one B! If I'd totally gotten everything together for that one unit and turned my homework in on time, I'm sure it would have been 2 A's , se la vie. I start my new classes on the 29th. Actually, there's this whole meet the teacher and learn about the class thing on Saturday before classes start, so I need to contact the profs and let them know I won't be making it. I don't even know what classes they are. They're just the last two sit-down classes I have to take before either interning or student teaching. Hopefully, I'll find a place to do one of those for the spring semester.
Tyanne came and spent the night last night. It was so good getting to talk to her and get updated on what's going on in her life. I'd forgotten that she's been married so long! She's going to this young adults week thing and wanted to come by which was great. We stayed up late last night talking and then talked some more this morning. I miss her. I forget how good of friends I use to have before moving up here. It's hard to keep in contact when so many things in life change between two people and then you add distance to the mix.
I've been hearing all sorts of great camp stories! I'm so excited to hear them. It almost, but not quite makes up for the fact that I didn't get to go. Seeing pictures makes me sad, but the stories are awesome! There are so many sides to camp! So far, I've talked to Linda, Jon, Jonny G, Bert, Lacey, Trevor and Jordan. Fortunately, Jordan and Trevor had a blast and now they're trying to convince all the other kids at church to go to camp. I think that's great! Oh! Speaking of great news, Jessica got baptised yesterday! It was so awesome! It's neat because the young people are all getting baptised in this area and we all get new brothers and sisters.
I'm working at Midway today because one of the other managers is working a party tonight over at my pool and didn't want to drive over ASAP after his pool closed. I'll have to see if I've got 3 or 4 people working today. If it's 3, Aaron said he'd send over Trey to work. Midway really struggles with having only 3 guards. It's do-able sorta, but not really. Wilshire is totally do-able with 3 guards.
I had a great interview at that other pool, but I don't know if I want to work there. It pays more, but I'm still not sure. If I get offered the position, I'll try it out. I'm not just going to give it up. But if it doesn't turn out good, I can always quit. Plus, I talked to my boss here, and he said he could make me a year round person and then I could work weekends just to open up buildings so that people renting them can get in and then just hang out and make sure they clean up. Once the time changes, that'd be no problem I think. Depending on when the rental was. I think I'd like that better. I've prayed about it and I trust God to know what should be offered to me and what shouldn't be. I prayed that if the job wasn't right, that it not be offered to me. The guy over in Southlake was all like, I'll call you by the end of the week, which hasn't happened, but it still could. Who knows.
I've got the first 3 CDs of Nikita currently!! I've been watching them like a crazy person! I LOVE Nikita! I'd forgotten how cool the show was! Anyways, gotta jet!
