Pretending to be a music teacher

Ok, first things first. Mom is out of the hospital after a long 9 days. I got to see her and try to rid her of some of her boredom. Which means stealing her and running her around outside in the hot Houston weather. We only got slightly in trouble once because we didn't tell anyone where we were going and the doctor came looking for her. But we found out she had a strep infection and that it's gone now, but the skin is still trying to recover.

Second, I started my substituting job. I was a copy lady one day and an elementary music teacher for a day and a half. Imagine, watching "Charlotte's Web" 7 times in one day. But it wasn't too bad. I wrote some letters, read a book and got a hug from a second grader the second day. Second graders ROCK!!

Today I ran up to the university to try to get things sorted out with classes and books, but nothing really worked out. But I did find out they published the wrong start day for the classes. I'll start AFTER labor day instead. So, that's kind of cool.

I also started guarding at the pool at the other school district. It's not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Well, at least the first day wasn't. I think I may even be able to do my homework there! Yay!!

So, that's the news from Lake Wobagon...wait...well, from somewhere waaaaayyyy southish of there.
