Home is where the home-cooked food is...
i.e. the heart.
So, I'm back at my parent's house. And, unfortunately, working on homework. It's going alright now. For a bit there, it was going soooo slowly. Lesson plans are evil.
Last night we had over a guy that my parents use to hang out with back when they were the "young adults group". It was strange to hear them called that. We had Jerk Chicken! It is sooo good!
Today, Linda and I made pies for Thanksgiving. We're having a couple people over, so we made extras. I'm not sure if pumpkin or pecan is my favorite. I think it also depends on the recipe though.
Oh, I quit my lifeguarding job! It's so nice not having to fight with all of that drama. And for about a week now I've been subbing in kindergarten. I think it's beginning to show. Not that I'm talking down to people, I try to avoid that with kids, but more that I'm starting to act more and more like them and my lesson plans are beginning to be based more and more on their level. But then again, in high school, you do tend to revert back to your toddler days.
The puppies, all 60 pounds of them each, are so great! I've missed them so much! They're big lumps of dirty fur that try to rub and lick you and knock you over all at once. I'd take them back with me, but I don't think they'd fit into the apartment.
