Airlines and Amtrack

I started looking into prices for airlines and Amtrack tickets to New York. The cool thing about the train is that it stops in Chicago and I have friends there, but it's about as expensive as a regular airlines ticket and takes about 2 days to get to New York. But, I've never really been on a train before like that. Little trains that don't move so fast, been on them, but not big sleeper trains. And airfare is about $130-160 cheap and $400 expensive (all for coach). And since I'd like to fly out of Dallas, we have those STUPID rules that Dallas Love can't fly to any state that does not touch Texas. How dumb is that? So, currently, don't think I'm heading to New York or Chicago any time soon. Even though I would LOVE to go. *SIGH*

Well, I got my books figured out for classes. And I didn't get a call for subbing today, so I'm going to do some homework...reading...until I have to leave to go and lifeguard. I guess that's good. I need the money, but I HAVE to get ahead in these classes so that when Feast time comes around I don't have to struggle with all this stuff. That would totally suck! And I don't think my teachers would be understanding since they're internet courses. And I've kind of wasted the morning away.

OH! Yesterday I went with Erin to see Madagascar! It was cute! Not as cute as some of Dreamworks' movies, but it was cute. It's sooo fun. I've been dying to go see it for forever!

I worked as a teacher's aid the other day and got to hold babies and feed them and change them and put them to sleep. Sometimes they were cute and sometimes....well, not so cute. Screaming just is not endearing. They were babies of teens in the school district.

Anyways, I'd better get to some homework...
