Things you find in a pool

The 4th of July went well. I had to work a party up at Midway in the morning and some, well, interesting things were found there in the pool.

The first was a baby bat. Yes, we found a live baby bat in the pool. Tim rescued him with leather gloves that the poor little thing tried to bite a little. But you can't blame him. I mean being outside in the wind, in the pool and in the daylight, is going to make any night creature a little upset.

Next we had two baby birds blown from a tree and were found lounging on the pool chairs. I really think they were just trying to catch some sun, try out their new bathing suits. So, we rescued them too. They were put in a box to be taken to someone's sister who is a vet.

Then that night went out to see the fireworks by the lake and went with Adam. It was really a lot of fun.

I've been slacking on the homework, but yesterday I was trying to get some reading done, but Stephen was working, which means that even if you've got your nose buried in a book and completely not paying any attention to him, he will still talk to you. So, I didn't get nearly as much accomplished as I would have liked. So, I have to spend today working on it too. *sigh* It's the attack of the never ending homework!!! Run!!

Anyways, speaking of all this homework, I really do have to get on it. Later.
